They hide behind the fact you don't know them and are just looking to get a rise out of you, which is what you're giving them by answering. I completely agree! However I often feel like (and this is probably my slight feminist side making an appearance) that by not responding I’m just showing that I’m a weak female - which I am not by any means. But I agree with you that those people are looking for a confrontation and get some sick kick out of hurting people emotionally. It’s incredibly pathetic and sad.
